Our Mission

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.The history of Azeroth is filled with conflict, disaster and all manner of pain. If we wish to build lasting peace and a better world for our children, we must ensure that we remember what led to the mistakes our ancestors have made so that we may learn from them.To this end, Nightrose Expeditions dedicates itself to:- Recovery of relics of the past, magical artefacts, and all manner of item of interest, but we will also assist in recovery of personal affects, lost items and such on behalf of people who cannot otherwise obtain them. We firmly believe that no item is insignificant.- Research of said items in terms of their origins, meaning, historical context, any magical properties they may have, or any other information they might provide. We firmly believe that everything can teach us something, and that no lesson is purposeless.- Providing an environment in which individuals can acquire and hone skills required to do the former. To facilitate these goals, we wish to foster a community of diverse individuals with interest and skills aligned with them. Through our cooperation with the Explorer's League, the Reliquary, the Dragonscale Expedition, any other organisation or individual contractors that might require our services, we wish to contribute to the collective knowledge of Azeroth's children.

The Community

Nightrose Expeditions operate as both a guild and a broader community.Alongside members who are in the guild itself (referred to as core members) we are open to cooperation and collaboration with individuals outside the guild, as well as other guilds and communities. Non-members are welcome to join our events, both DMed and social gatherings, without needing to join the guild itself (and are referred to as Associates). We are currently based out of Stormwind, but the roleplay is hardly limited to that one city. Due to the nature of the work we do, stories and events might take us all over Azeroth and even beyond in search of treasures, knowledge and adventure.Because of this, as of today Horde members are welcome to join our ranks if they are able to RP in Alliance territory - either through an equivalent Alliance character (such as in the case of elves), or through prisming. In order to facilitate cooperation with non-members, Nightrose Expeditions open a Discord server to both members and Associates. That is where most out of game communication will take place, and where all events and gatherings will be advertised.

IC Rules

We value and promote lasting peace. Members are expected to treat the traditionally “opposing” faction with respect. No antagonising anyone based on their race, occupation, beliefs, etc. If antagonised, you are allowed to respond accordingly. Violence is only permitted in self-defence.We value diversity. While we cannot always get along with everyone, members are expected to treat each other with basic respect and courtesy. Discrimination or hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.Rank and role in the company does not forbid members from engaging with other activities. Researchers are permitted to take part in combat if capable, and security are welcome to assist in research.Members are independent and free to take part in any events, undertakings or campaigns that they choose. However, they are expected to keep contact with other members of the company, and partake in at least some company ventures. Members are expected to represent the company with reasonable levels of common sense.Members found engaging in any kind of criminal activity will be removed from the ranks, apprehended and delivered to authorities. We request notification of any prolonged absences. There is no set uniform, but it is welcome and encouraged to wear the company's colours on official events, especially if working alongside other guilds.Individuals associated with dark powers are acceptable in limited numbers. In the interest of knowledge of and expertise in these areas, individuals such as demonologists, demon hunters, death knights or Void users may be permitted to join. Warlocks openly working with demons in any capacity need not apply.

OOC Rules

The guild does not vet birth dates of its members. Be advised that members might be minors.Players are limited to two characters in the guild. Exceptions can be made in cases of using multiple toons to portray one character, at the guild leader's discretion. No discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, disability, occupation, appearance, age or anything else that is personal.IC activity is a requirement for being part of the guild. There is no minimum attendance, but prolonged inactivity without communicating with an officer may be cause for removal per GM's discretion. No member is obligated to do anything. Should you for any reason not wish to attend an event or interact with another player you are free to not show up, or leave at any point, and are not obligated to provide a reason. You do not owe anybody any information regarding yourself. While there are people behind the characters, this is an in-game guild catered to in-game characters. No one is obligated to provide any details regarding their residence, name, age, or any other personal detail if they choose not to.Harassment of anyone in game, or outside of it, will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to persistent messaging despite requests for no further contact, in game and out of game stalking, smear campaigns, being intentionally disruptive during events, persistent insults and hate speech.IC is not OOC. This should go without saying.OOC conflicts between players are to be resolved peacefully. Moderation can always be requested from an officer if so needed.Inactivity of over a month will result in being moved to the Inactive rank in guild and in Discord, whether the absence was discussed or not. Returning from inactivity means reinstating the previous rank with no additional conditions.
Lack of contact during inactivity longer than two months may result in being removed from the guild, at the GM's discretion.
Respect that Argent Dawn is a large server with many different people and different guilds, each writing their own story. If someone's interpretation of lore differs from yours, that's okay. Please keep your character's story reasonably lore compliant. Avoid meta gaming and using outside knowledge your character should reasonably have no access to.Access to guild bank was granted to all full members (so all ranks except Inactive/OOC and Prospect). Anyone with bank access is welcome to withdraw items as per their permissions.Don't take yourself too seriously!
